Formula Drift Malaysia 09 - Part 4 (Race Day)
Race day and a cloudy day. The event is pack with crowd, girls, cars and photographer. All is well organized but the sound system is a bit poor. I barely heard what the commentator is talking. Djan again show everyone why he is the best in the region. He won after a hard battle with Kiki. Unlucky mad mike manage only to finish in third. He is one of favorite to win the event. Federal's Mervyn Nakamura did well and finish 4th. Full result can be view at the below link

First up, Tsuiso battle between Djan and Ee Yoong Cheng. Djan won it comfortably.
Heng's Yokohama AE86 vs Nazrul's Toyo tires Cefiro. Nazrul won the battle
Next up, Mervyn's Federal Cefiro vs Rhenadi Goodyear 180sx. Mervyn proceed to the next round.
Next battle, Ah Fai up against Chaiyos which Ah Fai proceed to the next round
Hanizam against Kulachart. Hanizam move on to the next round
Tan Tat Wei against Kiki. Unfortunately, Tan Tat Wei lost to Kiki. Another AE86 out of the competition.
Ryuji Miki Vs Mad Mike. Very close bad and both drift well. It is a close call which favor Mike. Mike move to the next round
Ivan Lau Vs Faireen. Ivan won
Quarter final first match up, Djan vs Nazrul. Djan overpower Nazrul and overtook Nazrul while he spun off. Superb skil show by Djan.
Second match, Mervyn vs Ah fai. Mervyn won as Ah Fai make too many mistake.
Hanizam Vs Kiki. Hanizam did well to force a OMT (One more time) before lost to Kiki. Hanizam had show his potential there.
Mad Mike Vs Ivan Lau. Mike's FD out power Ivan's AE86 especially on the straight. In the second run, Mike's FD hit Ivan's AE86 unintentionally. Mike won this battle.
Semi Final Match, Djan against Meryvn. Meryvn unable to keep up with Djan's high speed entry resulting Djan moving into the final
A big gap to fill up. Great entry speed from Djan
Djan glue to Mervyn.
Next semi Final match, Kiki vs Mad Mike. This is a close battle where both give it all to win. Mike hit Kiki in the last turn resulting him losing his front bump and some point. Kiki advance to the final.

Third placing match, Mervyn Vs Mad Mike. Again, Mervyn struggle to keep pace with Mike as he did with Djan. Mike won the third place
Final match, Malaysia very own royal prince of drift Tengku Djan Ley Vs Thailand Drift King Kiki Sangnanak. Djan had show a very consistent performance in this event and his crazy entry speed which prove to hard to match by Kiki.
