Location: Elite Speedway Circuit
GoKarting is the first step toward mastering open wheel racing. Ultimately each kart racer dream of one day to race in F1.
To drive a kart fast, you need bravery and lightning fast response. Response to each movement of the kart.
Each steering and throttle input will trigger a lightning reaction from the kart.
Thus,some said if you can drive fast in a kart, you can drive fast in many type of cars.
With that been said, many professional driver mostly will had some kart driving experience somewhere in their career.
It may look as an important motorsport puzzle but often many had overlook it and doesn't receive well coverage compare to other form of motorsport.
Each year, Rotax series will organize an one off international invitational race.
Driver and team that race in Rotax series was invited to this one off race.
For this year, the race promoter KRS motorsport decided to held this international invite race in Elite Speedway Circuit.
I was fortunate to be given a go anywhere i like pass by KRS motorsport to this event.
The pass allow me to sneak into the team pits and...
track side for some wheel to wheel action.
The event was divided into 2 race day but sadly i was only able to attend 1 day due to time constraint since i make a move to Singapore.
With the amount of participant, it also a good time for spotter from other form of motorsport to spot for new raw talents.
Some of the driver are currently competing in other form of motorsport such as Formula BMW, Touring Car and GT racing.
But there is a price to pay, many of these driver are self sponsored and privateer.
Only handful are sponsored. Nevertheless all chasing a dream one day to drive the F1 car.
