Sepang Go Kart Track: Rotax Invitational Race 2011 is a invitation only race and mark as a start for Rotax Race calendar in 2011. Thanks to Ben from KRS motorsport for the media pass access. This was my very first taste of competitive kart racing.
The race was divided into several categories such as DD2 Karts, Senoir Karts, Junior Karts and Micro Max Kadet Karts.
There were some familiar pro driver participated in this race such as Fairuz Fauzy. Beside local participation, they are quite a number of foreign team participant such as team from Japan.
Karting is the first step to F1 racing. That is why training a young driver at a tender age is important. Micro Max series provide a great platform the young driver to gain racing experience.
Thing getting more interesting when Junior class and Senior class race began. As the kart are more faster and the driver are more aggressive in order to win the class. Luckily, there isn't any big accident happen.
It was a great outing although i just made to attend half of it. The next Rotax Max Challenge 2011 is on 12-13 March 2011.
